Samsung SDI said Monday that it has been seeking collaboration with multiple robotics companies looking to use its all-solid-state batteries, which are under development and set for mass production starting next year. Samsung SDI said Friday its U.S. arm has won a battery supply contract without disclosing details, with the deal widely believed to be related to Tesla's energy storage system (ESS) business.
