GIMPO, Gyeonggi Province — The third-generation Peugeot 5008 family SUV has made a striking return with a lively yet composed driving feature that sets the vehicle apart from its rivals. After a decade, the vehicle has undergone a complete overhaul. Stellantis Korea hopes to jump on the booming SUV bandwagon by making the three-row family car its most strategic lineup this year. Peugeot has balanced the essentials of a large family SUV — flexible seating, usability and reasonable fuel efficiency — with a sense of refinement and unique driving dynamics. When the vehicle was taken for a round-trip drive between Gimpo and Incheon, with a distance of some 60 kilometers, the 5008 SUV dispelled the perception that a vehicle of this size would be relatively weak in responsiveness, compared to smaller, more typical sedans. However, the vehicle constantly delivered a breezy driving feel, powered largely by its well-balanced hybrid system. The 5008 SUV is equipped with a 1.2-liter PureTech

arXiv:2602.01261v1 Announce Type: new Abstract: Electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure introduces complex challenges to urban distribution networks, particularly under extreme demand events. A critical barrier to resilience assessment is the scale gap between micro-level charging physics and city-scale planning: minute-resolution deliverability constraints remain invisible in hourly aggregated datasets, causing purely data-driven models to exhibit non-physical behavior in high-stress regimes. This paper develops a five-stage scientific machine learning framework bridging this gap through physics-informed knowledge transfer. Stage 1 learns a temperature-pressure deliverability surface from Swiss DC fast-charging telemetry with monotonicity constraints. Stage 2 performs cross-scale injection via anchored quantile mapping. Stage 3 deploys a dual-head spatio-temporal graph neural network for joint forecasting of demand and service loss rate. Stage 4 simulates backlog dynamics under

arXiv:2601.23226v1 Announce Type: new Abstract: Three-dimensional integrated circuit (3D IC) pack-aging and heterogeneous integration have emerged as central pillars of contemporary semiconductor scaling. Yet, the multi-physics coupling inherent to stacked architectures manifesting as thermal hot spots, warpage-induced stresses, and interconnect aging demands monitoring and control capabilities that surpass traditional offline metrology. Although Digital Twin (DT) technology provides a principled route to real-time reliability management, the existing literature remains fragmented and frequently blurs the distinction between static multiphysics simulation workflows and truly dynamic, closed-loop twins. This critical review distinguishes itself by addressing these deficiencies through three specific contributions. First, we clarify the Digital Twin hierarchy to resolve terminological ambiguity between digital models, shadows, and twins. Second, we synthesize three foundational enabling

Samsung SDI said Monday that it has been seeking collaboration with multiple robotics companies looking to use its all-solid-state batteries, which are under development and set for mass production starting next year. The statement fueled speculation that Samsung SDI’s all-solid-state batteries could be used to power Hyundai Motor’s Atlas humanoid robot, given the partnership between the battery manufacturer and the carmaker. “Thanks to the application of physical artificial intelligence technology, the robotics market has grown rapidly and demand for all-solid-state batteries is increasing, considering the limited space for batteries in such devices and the need for high safety and power,” Park Jong-sun, head of Samsung SDI’s battery strategic marketing office, said at a conference call on the company’s earnings during the fourth quarter of last year. Samsung SDI’s quarterly operating loss from its battery business reached 338.5 billion won ($231 million). Despite the disappointing
Major Chinese electric vehicle (EV) makers got off to a bumpy start in 2026 as they reported falling deliveries in January due to softening government support. SEJONG —Online shopping sales in Korea rose 6.2 percent from a year earlier to a new monthly high in December, driven by strong sales of Tesla vehicles and rising demand for food services, government data showed Monday. The value of online shopping transactions stood at 24.29 trillion won ($16.68 billion) in December, up 1.42 trillion won from a year earlier, according to the data from the Ministry of Data and Statistics. The figure marked the highest level since 2017, when the ministry began compiling the data. Spending on automobiles and auto accessories surged 66.4 percent from a year earlier, supported by strong sales of Tesla models sold through online ordering systems. Sales of food services climbed 9.1 percent from a year earlier, largely due to promotional campaigns by food delivery platforms. Sales of food and beverages jumped 10.2 percent on-year, the data showed. Purchases made through smartphones, tablets and other mobile devices rose 6.2 percent from a year earlier to 18.8

Is Tesla still a car company? It's a question we've been asking ourselves more frequently over the past year, especially as the company's car business shrinks and Elon Musk continues to push the message that Tesla should be seen more as an AI and robotics leader and less so as a mere seller of four-wheeled conveyance. Last night during Telsa's quarterly earnings call, the question of whether Tesla still wants to sell cars was seemingly answered by Musk and his lieutenants. In one fell swoop, the company killed off its original flagship EVs, the Model S and Model X, to make room for the mass production of a humanoid robot that, as we've seen … Read the full story at The Verge.
