arXiv:2609.10031v1 Announce Type: new Abstract: Automated GUI testing is a widely adopted technique for ensuring mobile application quality by simulating user interactions to exercise functionalities. Despite the research breakthroughs in the past decades, covering complex functionalities that require multi-step action sequences still remains challenging. Traditional tools lack semantic understanding capability and can rarely synthesize such action sequences. Recent LLM-based tools can generate test intents describing target functionalities and leverage the LLM to fulfill the intents, but suffer from three key limitations: 1) loss of historical context for identifying uncovered functionalities, 2) synchronous intent generation that blocks exploration, and 3) per-step LLM-driven fulfillment incurring high cost and latency. To address these limitations, we propose GraphDroid, an intent-driven GUI testing framework that integrates a cluster-based memory mechanism to effectively identify
Just a few atomic layers at the surface can strongly influence how effectively a material binds pollutants from water or how efficiently a photocatalyst responds to light. Researchers at the Fraunhofer Institute for Applied Polymer Research IAP use X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) to investigate the chemical states and interactions at the surfaces and interfaces of bio-based carbon materials and organic-inorganic hybrid materials. Their insights can support the targeted development of functional materials for future industrial applications.
BYD Korea’s Dolphin compact electric hatchback is far more than just a low-cost electric vehicle (EV), positioning itself as a serious contender in the segment with strong practicality and solid driving performance. Dolphin’s greatest strength lies is its pricing. With government subsidies applied, the vehicle can effectively be purchased in the low-20 million won ($13,600) range, placing it in direct competition with key rivals — Hyundai Motor’s Casper Electric and Kia Ray EV. Consumer response has been swift. The company sold 1,202 vehicles in August, ranking fourth in the imported vehicle market here. The combination of affordability and practicality clearly resonates with buyers. The vehicle's popularity becomes easy to understand after spending time behind the wheel, particularly for first-time EV buyers or consumers seeking a practical commuter-focused second car. The base model produces 70 kilowatts, or roughly 95 horsepower. The figures appear modest, but the instant torque
China’s electric vehicle (EV) adoption rate has hit an all-time high, as the Iran war drives motorists to shift away from petrol cars despite a sluggish automotive market. A record 65.2 per cent of the 1.54 million cars sold in mainland China last month were either pure electric or plug-in hybrid vehicles, data from the China Passenger Car Association (CPCA) showed. The figure broke the previous record of 65.1 per cent set a month earlier. “Consumers are convinced of EVs’ advantages now that...

Hydrogen-powered cars, power stations and portable chargers all rely on fuel cells. At the heart of each fuel cell is a catalyst that speeds up the reaction between hydrogen and oxygen to produce electricity and water. These catalysts are typically made of platinum—which costs nearly as much as gold. Researchers from Southern Federal University, together with colleagues from Skoltech (part of the VEB.RF Group), the Institute of Catalysis of the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences, and Bauman Moscow State Technical University, have found a way to make this key component both cheaper and better. They developed a catalyst from a five-metal alloy that retains its activity even after 10,000 operating cycles.

arXiv:2609.07385v1 Announce Type: new Abstract: Organic liquid scintillators are used since several decades, especially in neutrino physics. They excel at the detection of low-energy particles where energy and timing information is required. Organic liquid scintillators have advantages such as high light yield, radio purity, cost effectiveness, and more. However, they also exhibit disadvantages, most prominently a lack of vertex resolution and particle identification. Various novel ideas have emerged over the course of the last decade to improve the performance of organic liquid scintillators. Among them are most prominently hybrid and opaque scintillators. In this proceedings, these novel scintillators are reviewed and their current applications in the research fields of neutrino and dark matter physics are illustrated.
